Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

This was our first holiday without Giuseppe’s father, Salvatore, so we kept things small. We celebrated with his mother, Lina, and her sister. And it was nice to be home without the pressure of entertaining.

It also provided the perfect opportunity for me to make a Christmas Day lasagna, a task which I’m still surprised the Italians entrusted me with even after all these years. But fear not because I nailed it! And now we want to see yours : )

This is a traditional lasagna alla bolognese with small tweaks to accommodate dietary needs. Enjoy.
