LINA update & did you see La Cucina Italian + Food & Wine?
It's July!
Ciao, come va? If this is your first time getting this newsletter, welcome! We're so happy you're here : ) For our long time customers, writing to you every month brings us comfort and joy. The past month has been a whirlwind of interviews, trying to keep up with orders, and welcoming new faces to our community! We are extremely grateful.
Last week we were reflecting on where we were last year. In July 2019 we were planning fall harvest and all of our holiday markets: Craneway, Girl Gang Craft, and so many more. We miss these events so much because they allowed us to meet many of you in person. Alas, 2020 seems to be the year of virtual events. Which brings us to the question: do you want us to host virtual events? If so, what kind? Cooking, olive oil tasting, or simple happy hours?
Looking Towards Fall Harvest and Updates to the Estate and Trees
Most people's year starts in January, ours starts in September with the arrival of fall harvest. As the last kiss of summer departs we find ourselves donning our black harvesting uniforms (hats and glasses are a must). We ask Giuseppe's mom to feed us extra portions all of September because we know we'll be losing weight. She's delighted to help.
Planning for harvest includes spending all day on the phone with our chemist/agronomist and collaborators. The time for making drastic changes or improvements to the trees has passed but testing and monitoring of their health continues.
We dug new drainage paths on our property! This is something we've been exploring and monitoring for several years now and it's finally done. We haven't seen the work in person yet, so are really excited. Apparently, our property has a very large (and unusual) source of freshwater. By installing the drainage pipes the water is released. We see a well in our future!

Exciting Press for EXAU
We've had features in: La Cucina Italiana, Food & Wine, Doing Italy, TMZ (Random, but we'll take it!), and The Next Big Thing Podcast
The La Cucina Italiana USA article includes a link to Giuseppe's mother's recipe for Parmigiana. When we told her that her recipe was being shared by a major publication she was ecstatic! In her mid 70's and featured in an American Italian magazine. The LINA oil is named after her <3

The LINA is currently sold out! She really is on a roll this month. (Club members don't worry. The LINA will be included in your next shipment). The TURI & AVUS are both still currently in stock. Grab your bottle today.
