This was our biggest harvest ever and it's our longest bottling run to date. We’re nervous, happy, and feeling all the feels *happy tears*. We could not do any of this without you and thank you so much for your support over the past few years (or months/weeks if you're new!). Okay, enough mushiness.
Some Proud Things
In 2019 we worked with 70% Calabrian small and/or family-owned businesses. We now work with 100% Calabrian small/family-owned businesses. That’s right, 100%! From the bottles to the labels, to the boxes, to the mill, every single business is family-owned and located within a 45-minute drive of us. We’ve always wanted to keep things 100% in Calabria and WE DID IT!!!
The 2021 harvest was produced with olives from our family estate and a property located about 10 minutes away in partnership with the owner. You can read all about the products by clicking on each product and reading the product bio!

How To Bake With Olive Oil
During the pandemic, I started baking (with the rest of the internet) a lot and found Melissa Clark’s Recipe For Olive Oil Brownies, which are delicious. While probably eating brownies I went on the hunt for a sort of chocolatey bread. A bread that wanted to be a cake but didn’t want to take on the commitment of being that sweet. I also wanted to skip the frosting.
That’s when I found Dark Chocolate Loaf Cake by Jake Cohen. I probably baked that loaf cake 1x a week for 3 months straight. It’s forever going to be one of the foods that got Giuseppe and I through the beginning of the pandemic. This loaf cake isn’t something *special* in the sense that it’s decadent and over-the-top. It’s basic, soft, chocolatey, and comforting and that’s exactly what we needed 16 months ago. Since that first cake we’ve become friends with Jake and we’re going live with him next week to make THE CHOCOLATE LOAF CAKE.

Joing us on IG Live Monday, Nov.29 @ 9am PT / 12pm ET where we’ll be making Dark Choc. Loaf Cake 🍰
Because we know ‘tis the season of baking, we wrote an entire blog post titled ‘How To Bake With Olive Oil’. The key to baking with olive oil is understanding the product. With the right recipe, olive oil can lend the constancy of fudge to a brownie. When mixed with melted chocolate and then added to a cake or brownies it behaves as it always does, moving concentrated flavors. Read More Here
A Turkey Break ft. Broccoli
We don’t know about you but we're feeling a lil' overwhelmed with the turkey/mashed potato/gravy/stuffing content. While we absolutely adore Thanksgiving and do celebrate in Italy, it can get a little stuffy this time of year (pun intended).
How about a broccoli break? Boil a pot of water, throw everything in, and kick your feet up (or actually maybe grate some parm cause you’re gonna need it). This Orecchiette con Broccoli recipe will easily trick you/your kids/your partner into eating more veggies! Skip the anchovies and add cheese. Or keep the anchovies and skip the parm. If you use both we won’t tell, however, we don’t recommend. Find the full recipe here and don’t forget to tag us on social when you make it!
Holiday Shipping Update
Orders are currently being fulfilled and shipped within 24 to 72 hours. We’re currently only shipping via FedEx ground with the option to upgrade to Expedited 2 day for smaller orders. Ground shipping is currently taking approximately 5 business days to states located along the East and West coasts (especially NY, NJ, MA, CT, ME, CA, OR, WA). However, a delay of approximately 2 days may occur. We recommend placing orders 14 days ahead.
Christmas recommended order cutoff is Wednesday, December 8, 2021.
Please don’t snooze! This date is also on our FAQ in case you forget : )
